HHN09 #02 - Sovereign

O segundo tema do desafio His Holy Name, feito pela Patter Cross é: Soberano.

Toda vez que ouço essa palavra (Soberano), lembro-me da letra de uma música de Asaph Borba:
Every time I hear this word (Sovereign), I remember the lyrics of Asaph Borba' song:

"Tu és soberano sobre a terra, sobre os céus Tu és Senhor absoluto.
Tudo o que existe e acontece, Tu o sabes muito bem, Tu és tremendo.
E apesar desta glória que tens, Tu te importas comigo também;
e este amor tão grande eleva-me, amarra-me a Ti, Tu és tremendo."
"You are sovereign over the earth, above the heaven You are Lord of all.
Everything that exists and happens, You do know very well, You're amazing.
And despite this glory that You have, You mind me too;
and this great love brings so much to me, tie me to You, You're amazing."

E ela, reflete bem o que é soberano: Tremendo, Senhor absoluto, Onisciente.
And it express very well what is sovereign: Amazing, absolut Lord, the Knower.

No dicionário Michaelis, Soberano é: "que está revestido de autoridade suprema; que governa com absoluto poderio; diz-se de Deus e da Sua suprema autoridade; excelso, magnífico, notável."; e estes atributos refletem exatamente Deus.
Michaelis' defines Soveregin as: "which is covered with supreme authority, which governs with absolute power; refers to God and His supreme authority; high, magnificent, remarkable."; and these attributes reflect exactly God.

Você já parou para pensar no versículo "Ele é o que está assentado sobre a redondeza da terra" (Is 40.22)? Eu sempre o considerei como exemplo de como a Idade Média perdeu o foco de muitas coisas, entre elas, a religião e a ciência... A própria Bíblia já falava que a Terra é redonda.
Have you stopped to think about the verse "He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40.22)? I always used it as an example for the Middle Ages, when the humanity lost the focus of many things, including religion and science ... The Bible itself has talked about that the Earth is round.

Mas, pensando sobre este atributo de Deus, eu vi este versículo de outra forma: Deus é tremendo... Maior que a Terra, maior que o universo, mas ao mesmo tempo, ciente de mim, de você, de todos os humanos e muito mais... Não podemos conceber a grandeza de Deus em nossa mente.
But thinking about this attribute of God, I saw this verse in another way: God is amazing ... Higher than the earth, bigger than the universe, but at the same time, aware of me, you, of all human and much more ... We can not conceive the greatness of God in our mind.

Eu costumava (e às vezes, ainda faço isso) olhar o céu, à noite, para olhar as estrelas... E o pensamento que sempre acaba vindo à minha cabeça nestas horas é: Deus criou tudo isso, mas não está tão longe que não se importe comigo a ponto de preparar um plano de salvação para que eu pudesse estar sempre junto a Ele!
I used (and sometimes still do it) look at the sky at night, to look at the stars ... And the thought that has always been in my mind these times is: God created all this, but He is not so far that does not care about me, to the point of preparing a salvation plan so that I could always be with Him!

Pense nisso!
Think about it!

Eu usei vários retalhos de papel rasgado, etamine, linha e brads, para tentar causar um efeito de "bagunça", para colocar por cima, um papel com os dizeres "Soberano" e os versículos, para mostrar que Deus é Soberano, e está acima de tudo!
I used several flaps of paper, tammy, line and brads, trying to cause an effect of "mess", to put up a paper with the words "Sovereign" and the verses to show that God is Sovereign, and is above all!

HHN09 #01 - Holy

"Santo, Santo, Santo é o Senhor Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, aquele que era, que é e que há de vir" - Apocalipse 4.8b
"Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come" - Revelation 4.8b

Este é o outro desafio proposto pela Patter Cross: "Seu Santo Nome", e o primeiro nome/atributo de Deus para estudo é Santo. O link para o post da Patter é este.
This is the other challenge proposed by Patter Cross: "His Holy Name", and the first God's name/attribute to study is Holy. The link for Patter's post is this one.

O que é Santo?
What is Holy?

O dicionário Michaelis define santo como: "Com o caráter de santidade; dotado de santidade
Digno de respeito e veneração pelo seu caráter, talento e virtudes". Na definição do Webster, vemos algo mais profundo: "Pertencente a ou vindo de Deus; espiritualmente perfeito ou puro; sem pecado; merecedor de puro respeito, reverência ou adoração".
The dictionary Michaelis defines holy as: "With the character of holiness, endowed with holiness; Worthy of respect and veneration for his character, talent and virtues". In Webster's definition, we find something more deep: "belonging to or coming from God; spiritually perfect or pure; sinless; deserving deep respect, awe, reverence or adoration."

Deus é santo. E nós, por causa do pecado, somos separados dEle.
God is Holy. And we, due to the sin, are taken apart from Him.

Agora, pense no seguinte: Deus nos chama para sermos santos ("Sede santos, por que eu sou santo" - 1Pe 1.16). E esta é a única maneira de podermos nos aproximar dEle. A pergunta é: como sermos santos se somos pecadores? Através de Jesus, de Seu sacrifício... Pecado é morte, é separação de Deus. Jesus veio para "pagar" esta morte, e permitir que, purificados do pecado, possamos nos aproximar novamente de Deus, em santidade.
Now, think about this: God call us to be holy ("Be ye holy; for I am holy" - 1 Peter 1.16). And is the only way we have to be close to Him. The question is: how can we be holy being sinful? Through Jesus, through His sacrifice... Sin is death, is to be apart from God. Jesus came to "pay" this death, and this way, allow us, cleaned from the sin, to be close again from God, in holiness.

Pare agora e pense em sua vida com Deus. Pense em Jesus e volte para Ele!
Stop now and think about your live with God. Think in Jesus and came back to Him!!!

Deus te ama! E ama tanto que mandou Jesus para morrer por você! Pense nisso!
God loves you! And love so much that sent Jesus to die for you! Think about it!

E agora, o trabalho que fiz para este tema... Resolvi fazer este desafio no tamanho 10x15cm...
And now, the craft I have made for this subject... I decided to make this challenge in the size 10x15cm.

Quando estava pensando em materiais e cores para usar, pensei em branco... Mas, só branco? Então, lembrei-me que a Bíblia fala dos utensílios do tabernáculo e do Templo em ouro... Então, branco e dourado... O Papel branco é Opaline 180gr (Romitec).
When I was thinking about papers, colors and things to use, I thought about white... but, only white? So, I remembered the Tabernacle and the Temple'utensils were made of gold... So, white and gold... The white paper is Opaline 180gr (Romitec).

SCRC09 - Week 01 - Faith

Como eu falei, decidi seguir este desafio da Patter Cross: Scripture Challenge 09.
As I have said before, I decided to follow the Patter Cross's Challenge: Scripture Challenge 09.

E, o primeiro tema é FÉ.
And the first subject is Faith.

Ok... Antes de postar meu trabalho (um LO 15x15cm), vamos falar um pouco sobre fé...
OK... Before I post my page (a 6"x6" LO), let's talk a little abour faith...

Definição segundo o Dicionário Michaelis:
Crença, crédito; convicção da existência de algum fato ou da veracidade de alguma asserção.
Fidelidade a compromissos e promessas; confiança.
Definition according to Dictionary Michaelis (translated from Portuguese):

Belief, credit, belief in the existence of any fact or the truth of any assertion.
Faithfulness to commitments and promises; confidence.

Mas, eu prefiro a definição que está na Bíblia, em Hebreus 11.1: "Ora, a fé é a certeza de coisas que se esperam, a convicção de fatos que se não vêem. "
But, I prefer the Bible's definition, in Hebrews 11.1: "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

A fé é a confiança em Deus... É esperar nEle, é não andar ansioso/a por nada, certos de que Ele está no controle de tudo.
Faith is the belief in God... It is to wait in Him, not being ansious for anything, to be sure that He is in the control of everything.

E, a grande pergunta: Como está minha fé? Como está sua fé? Temos deixado tudo nas mãos de Deus e descansado nEle?! Pense sobre isso...
And, the big question: How is my faith? How is your faith? Have we left evertything in His hands and rest in Him?! Think about it...

4 Fs

Finalmente, comecei este novo blog. Decidi criá-lo baseado nos desafios Scripture Challenge e His Holy Name Challenge apresentados pala Patter Cross em seu blog .
Finally, I started this new blog. I decided to create it based on the Scripture and His Loly Name Clallenges presented by Patter Cros in her blog.

Gostaria de traduzir todo este desafio para o português, mas estou aguardando sua autorização para tal. Por enquanto, vou apresentando meu trabalho e os temas com os estudos que fiz à medida que ela for divulgando também.
I would like to translante all this challenge to Portuguese, but I am waiting for the authorization for such thing. So, for while, I am going showing you my crafts and the studies I am doing when she is announcing the new subjects.

Os "desafios" consistem em fazer trabalhos (cartão, ATC, LO etc) baseado em temas das Escrituras ou atribuitos de Deus.
The "challenges" are to make crafts (cards, ATC, LO etc) based on Scripture or God atributes subjects.

Mas, antes de começar os meus estudos e trabalhos, gostaria de falar dos 4 Fs... Meu avô paterno (Benedito Natal Quintanilha) costumava responder isso quando lhe perguntavam "como vai?"...
But, before starting my studies and crafts, I would like to talk to you about the 4 Fs... My grandfather (Benedito Natal Quintanilha) used to answer that when someone asked him "how are you doing?"...

Mas, o que são esses 4 Fs? Nada mais que Firme, Forte, Fiel e Feliz.
But, what are these 4 Fs? In English, it will not work so fine, but in Portuguese, the Fs are: Firm (Firme), Strong (Forte), Loyal (Fiel) and Happy (Feliz).

Não me lembro da base bíblica que ele usava para os 4Fs, mas posso deduzir algumas...
I am not going to translate the Biblical verses, but you can read them in you Bible.

Firme > Firme na Rocha, que é Cristo.
"(..) Tu, porém, mediante a fé, estás firme." - Rm 11.20
"Portanto, meus amados irmãos, sede firmes, inabaláveis e sempre abundantes na obra do Senhor, sabendo que, no Senhor, o vosso "trabalho não é vão." - 1Co 15.58
"Sede vigilantes, permanecei firmes na fé, portai-vos varonilmente, fortalecei-vos." - 1Co 16.13

Forte > Nossa força vem de Deus, e, estando Nele, não seremos abalados.
"Sede fortes, e revigore-se o vosso coração, vós todos que esperais no SENHOR." - Sl 31.24
"Torre forte é o nome do SENHOR, à qual o justo se acolhe e está seguro." - Pv 18.10

Fiel > Lealdade à Deus, fidelidade a Ele
"Ora, além disso, o que se requer dos despenseiros é que cada um deles seja encontrado fiel." - 1 Co 4.2

Feliz > a felicidade que só aqueles que confiam no Senhor conhecem... Felicidade em qualquer momento, em qualquer circunstância...
"Feliz a nação cujo Deus é o SENHOR, e o povo que ele escolheu para sua herança." - Sl 33.12
"Ó SENHOR dos Exércitos, feliz o homem que em ti confia." - Sl 84.12
"Agora, pois, filhos, ouvi-me, porque felizes serão os que guardarem os meus caminhos." - Pv 8.32

Pense nisso quando alguém lhe perguntar como está... Você pode responder os 4 Fs?
Think about it when someone ask you how do you do... Can you answer the 4 Fs?
